Another successful Reading conviction for burglary

A 30-year-old Reading man has been sentenced to two and a half years imprisonment for burglary.

Rory Sims, from Calcot, Reading committed the burglary on 14 February, at Charles Clore Court in Southcote. Sims knocked on the window of the 89-year-old victims flat and stole her handbag.

Sims was arrested for the offence on 15 February and appeared at Reading Crown Court today (18/5). He was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment.

Case Investigator Megan Purnell, from Reading CID, said: “I am really pleased with the sentence given to Sims today. I am happy that justice has been done for the victim of this burglary as she was very upset by the incident.”

    I used to go to school with this….person.

    He’s recently been released from Prison for burgaling his own mothers house…
