Pembroke Lodge provides a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which the care, comfort and well-being of our residents is of prime importance. Perfectly located in a quiet residential area of Reading
Our fourteen-bedded residential care home for the elderly is situated in the prestigious University area of Reading. It benefits from being close to a range of healthcare resources including the Royal Berkshire Hospital and is also close to the town centre. An alternative to a Nursing Home in Reading
Whilst we are not a nursing care home, a lot of our residents considered nursing care prior to choosing Pembroke Lodge. Our staff are trained and able to assist our residents in all of the functions necessary for ordinary daily life. Once you have seen our facilities you may find that specialised nursing care is not necessary. The timely intervention of our care staff may be all that is required.
We know that a lot of people are confused by the differences between nursing care homes and residential care homes for the elderly, so please get in touch and we would be happy to discuss whether nursing care is, in fact, required.
We welcome visitors to look round our care facilities and meet the staff and see for themselves the standard of care we offer.
In addition to long-term care and residential care, Pembroke Lodge can also offer respite care, intermediate care, rehabilitation care, care for mild cases of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care and convalescent care when rooms are available.
