Clancy Consulting provide a multi-discipline engineering design, building surveying and advisory service across the built environment. We place great importance on delivering value to our clients business by utilising our cross discipline capability and by working in collaboration with fellow professionals, to deliver on quality, economy and timeliness.
As a multi-discipline professional engineering consultancy, we are able to offer clients the choice of using our services in combination or individually. Our highly experienced team, comprising chartered surveyors and structural, civil and building services engineers, is able to provide a comprehensive professional surveying service in all market sectors.
We offer a full range of traditional building surveying services and have developed expertise in the inspection and assessment of commercial, residential, industrial and historic buildings and structures.
Our breadth and depth of experience enables us to provide our clients with not only specific attention to their particular instruction but also to offer a holistic overview and commercially focused advice tailored to suit the client’s requirements.
Clancy Consulting can provide a wide range of civil engineering design services either from our diverse in house engineering staff resource or utilising our network of supporting partner organisations whose specialist expertise can be drawn upon as appropriate to the particular needs of the project.
Many of our civil engineering commissions are part of multi disciplinary engineering appointments, in conjunction with our structural engineers on building projects and working alongside our building services colleagues on infrastructure projects.
However we can also be appointed as Lead Consultant on general civil engineering projects such as freight terminals.
Working alongside clients, architects, fellow engineers and, increasingly, contractors, our engineers can assist in optimizing earthworks solutions, sourcing and interpreting geotechnical reports, arranging environmental assessments, liaison with drainage authorities and general civil engineering design.
In addition to consulting engineering services, we have often project managed environmental and geotechnical aspects through preferred sub-contracted consultants.
Increasingly clients have requested a one-stop service to deliver foundation design solutions and to assist with the undertaking of environmental studies and investigations. As a result, in May 2007 we established a GeoEnvironmental Unit, to provide services to support the engineering portfolio of work and to assist clients during the pre-acquisition, planning application and design process.
The GeoEnvironmental Unit are well versed in land acquisitions, with team members having formerly worked for housing developers and have provided due diligence surveys and audits for large corporations, financial institutions, housing and commercial developers. The team have vast experience of conducting site investigations, performing quantitative risk assessments (for human health and controlled waters) and submitting reports for regulatory (NHBC, Local Authority and Environment Agency) approval.
In addition to environmental studies the team routinely conduct geotechnical site investigations at the same time as any environmental investigation so as to provide a cost effective site investigation strategy. Geotechnical investigations are often required to assess ground conditions for foundation design, slope stability assessments or for design of any necessary earthworks.
The talented and versatile engineers at Clancy apply their fundamental knowledge of the science and art of structural engineering, to assist the design team in the creation of elegant buildings, frameworks and other structures with economy and safety paramount.
