Based in Tilehurst Reading. Jim provides one to one tuition/group lessons for all age groups from beginners to advanced. Lessons are structured to meet your individual capabilities and requirements.

Lesson availability is weekdays during the day and evenings as well as Saturday mornings at competative rates. Fully CRB checked.

I teach to Grade 8 level and I also teach theory.

I’m a concert pianist, Doctor in Piano, and piano tutor, offering lessons to any age / level. International performing and teaching experiences, taught at HE as a Piano Lecturer at the US. Friendly, patient, and dedicated. Theory and Musicianship lessons can be arranged.

Available weekdays afternoon/evening, though weekend lessons could be arranged. Fees depend on your level.

My goal is to help students enjoy music and piano playing. Music making is a form of self-expression. By helping students understand what composers wanted to communicate, I will guide students to express their understanding of music with proper technique and emotional reactions. By doing so, students can be freely engaged in creative activities. I can also help students with physical problems, such as tension and pain.
