Bel Canto Chorus is a new female choir formed in 2008 and based in Sonning

About us:

Bel Canto Chorus is a new female choir. After a successful launch on the 31st March 2008, we already have 20 members. We still want to grow.

Whether or not you are an experienced singer or you have sung in the past and wish to take it up again, we are seeking new members for the choir and would like to hear from you if you are interested in joining.

We will develop our musical repertoire as the choir develops. Initially, our repertoire is mainly classical with some folk song and spiritual arrangements. Some of the composers we are planning on getting our teeth into this term are Monteverdi, Gounod, Grieg and Holst.

Our rehearsal hall is located in Sonning-on-Thames, Berkshire – a location selected for our intended membership across Reading/Maidenhead area (Woodley, Wokingham, Wargrave, Reading , Henley , Maidenhead, reading, Charvil, Hurst, etc).

We want Bel Canto to be fun and fulfilling. We respect people’s need for flexibility and we will be arranging regular social events.
