Clients from Albert Road Day Centre, Reading will be welcoming guests to celebrate Christmas at two events taking place next week.
On Monday, December 21st, the Reading centre will host a Christmas party and have invited friends from nearby Arthur Clarke Residential Home and the Indian Community Centre.
The party includes a Christmas lunch and a musical performance from the Young Carers’ Choir.
The children who form the Young Carers’ Choir all, in some way, care for a loved one.
On Wednesday, December 23rd, a Carers’ Carol Concert will take place at Albert Road Day Centre from 2pm, with mulled wine and mince pies.
Stephen Rogers, who came third place in this year’s Reading’s Got Talent, will entertain by performing some classical tunes.
Day centre clients will be joined by family and staff for the festive treat.
Vanessa Hart, Assistant Manager of Albert Road Day Centre, said: "It’s good to see local community groups joining together and celebrating at this time of the year. A big thank you to all who have made this possible."
