Pilates – classes combining Post Natal Pilates & Baby Massage and classes for the Over 50s

About us:

Classes combining post natal pilates for you and baby massage for your baby. It’s difficult to find the time to take an exercise class after having a baby, so why not bring your baby with you.

Benefits for mother & baby:
- Strengthen your pelvic floor following childbirth
- Improve your posture – which has suffered during pregnancy and will continue to suffer due to feeding and carrying positions
- Help you towards getting your pre-pregnancy figure back
- Relax you and your baby and give you time to bond with your baby
- Teach your baby how to relax and aid peaceful sleep
- Help baby’s circulation, aid digestion (relieve colic), joint mobility, promote fuller & deeper respiration, strengthen immune system
- Aid the communication between you & your baby and aid towards building that deep bond

Classes are subject to a doctor confirming you & your baby’s fitness following the 6/8 week check up. Classes are not really suitable for babies that have started crawling.

Over 50’s Pilates
Pilates is a safe form of exercise for all ages.
My Over 50s Pilates class is a small group (max 8). The classes can be tailored to your needs and we work at your own pace. We pay particular attention to mobility and stretching exercises.

Benefits for the Over 50s:
- Tone up muscles and improve flexibility and muscular strength
- Relieve the effects of Osteoporosis and Arthritis
- Improve posture, co-ordination and balance
- Improve breathing
- Improve core endurance/pelvic floor
- Aid relaxation and help you feel more energized
- Help your physical and mental well being

Participates over the age of 65 will need confirmation from their doctor that they are fit to participate in Pilates classes.
